Working hours

This page is simply a running log of how many active working hours I’m scheduled at each place and how much I make each week. This does not include my half-hour lunch break for days I work more than 5 hours. You may notice that instead of making more money by having two jobs, for the first two weeks (July 14-July 27) I was making less because my hours were severely cut as a cashier when I notified them I was not available for 9 hours of work each week at a time when I wasn’t being scheduled (the store is open 82 hours per week).

June 23-29: 21.5 hours over 4 days (cashier) = $155.88

June 30 – July 6: 29.5 hours over 5 days (cashier) = $213.88

July 7 – July 13: 28 hours over 5 days (cashier); 3 hours for orientation (replenishment) = $227.75

July 14 – July 20: 19 hours over 5 days (cashier); 8 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $203.75

July 21 – July 27: 18 hours over 4 days (cashier); 8 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $196.50

July 28 – Aug. 3: 18 hours over 3 days (cashier); 10.5 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $217.13
Additional hours because cashier quit: 16 over 3 days (2 days added and one extended) = $116

Aug. 4 – Aug. 10: 16 hours over 3 days (cashier); 9.5 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $194.38

Aug. 11-Aug. 17: 20 hours over 4 days (cashier); 9 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $219.25
Additional hours because of schedule goof: 6.5 over 1 day = $47.13

Aug. 18-Aug. 24: 24 hours over 5 days (cashier); 8 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $240
Additional hours because of co-worker accident: 5 hours over 1 day = $36.25

Aug. 25-Aug 31: 30.5 hours over 5 days (cashier); 11 hours over 3 days (inventory/replenishment) = $311.88

Sept. 1-Sept. 7: 29.5 hours over 5 days (cashier); 13 hours over 3 days (replenishment) = $321.13

Sept. 8-Sept. 14: 38.5 hours over 6 days (cashier/service desk); 6 hours over 1 day* (replenishment) = $328.63
* I was scheduled for a second day, but I had a conflict so I missed out on 5.5 hours of work or $45.38.

Sept. 15-Sept. 21: 32 hours over 5 days (cashier/service desk);  9 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $306.25.

Sept. 22-Sept. 28: 36.5 hours over 5 days (cashier/service desk);  9.5 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $343

Sept. 29-Oct. 5: 29.5 hours over 4 days (cashier/service desk);  4 hours over 1 days (replenishment) = $246.88

Oct.6-Oct. 12: 29.5 hours over 4 days (cashier/service desk);  8.5 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $284

Oct.13-Oct. 19: 17.5 hours over 3 days (cashier training/service desk);  4 hours over 1 day (replenishment) = $159.88

Oct. 20-Oct. 26: 21.5 hours over 4 days (cashier training/service desk);  9 hours over 2 days (replenishment) = $230.3

I’ve quit updating this page because I started a full-time job on Nov. 11 and I thought 40 hours per week would be pretty boring. However, I should say that during the weeks leading up to Christmas our store hours have expanded 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and with only 4.5 people to cover, it means we’re working 6 day weeks and close to 50 hours.
